Our People

Our management team is a dedicated group of professionals drawn from legal and commercial backgrounds.

Adrian Marlowe, our founder and Managing Director, practised as a solicitor* for 20 years before setting up Lawspeed in 1997.

Adrian is responsible for developing our extensive portfolio of products and services, including the widely accepted Lawspeed contract templates. He speaks regularly around the country at seminars and conferences, and is regarded by many as a leading authority on "recruitment law". Adrian headed the team in negotiations with the DTI over the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Recruitment Business Regulations 2003 and led our representation to HMRC over the MSC legislation. He has also led our extensive work on the Agency Workers Regulations 2010.

Adrian is chair of the trade body the Association of Recruitment Consultancies (ARC) which he set up in conjunction with Ravi Murphy to represent recruiters on key issues affecting their industry. Adrian was the driving force behind the ARC's critical and highly successful stance on the Agency Workers Regulations. Adrian is also a member of the Genesis Initiative, a cross parliamentary SME support group, and is one of two appointed representatives responsible for reporting on the Agency Workers Regulations to the European SME group UAPME, which feeds into the European Parliament.

Adrian specialises in commercial strategy, risk management, compliance, operating models (including umbrella) and all aspects of recruitment law, employment law and recruitment business process.

Ravi Murphy, Director, has a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management and passed the solicitors' qualification exams with a distinction. Before joining Lawspeed in 2000 Ravi gained extensive experience in all areas of risk management having spent 12 years working for a blue chip insurance company and a Lloyds syndicate. She has considerable experience of underwriting, risk assessment and claims handling as well as a significant expertise in recruitment law.

Ravi is our client services director and is responsible for business development. She is also a co-director and founder of the trade body ARC which she and Adrian set up in 2009 (see above).

Ravi specialises in contractual arrangements, commercial strategy, risk management, compliance issues and data protection in addition to recruitment and employment law issues.

Rebecca Marlowe, Director went into recruitment as a graduate and spent 15 years in the industry, first as a consultant then in sales management. Joining Lawspeed in 2003, now a co-director, she brings an understanding of the practicalities of the recruitment process as well as the operational and management issues faced by recruiters.

Rebecca is responsible for marketing and internal support functions.

Theresa Mimnagh qualified as a solicitor* in February 2004 and previously worked in private practice as an employment lawyer. She joined Lawspeed in 2005 and specialises in employment law, recruitment law, discrimination, employment status, employment contracts and policies as well as tax related issues.

Theresa heads up our client support and audit team and speaks regularly at our seminars on employment related subjects. More recently Theresa has become one of our chief presenters on the Agency Workers Regulations and is an expert on related issues.

Ben Grover qualified as a solicitor* in October 2008 and worked at two firms in their company commercial divisions before joining Lawspeed in June 2009.

Ben heads our government liaison and lobbying group. Ben specialises in recruitment and contract law, and is an expert on the agency regulations including the Agency Workers Regulations.

Lawspeed is supported by an additional team of specialist consultants.
