Agency Regulations

Recruitment businesses, whether introducing candidates or supplying contractors and agency workers, are required to comply with various regulations, laws and tax rules.

The main governing regulations are the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003 (“the Conduct Regulations”). These contain numerous contractual and procedural requirements for making placements and also contain certain restrictions including specific rules relating to the structuring of temp-to-perm, temp to temp and temp to third party transfer fees.

Altogether the regulations are relatively complex, they can be understood and converted into easy steps with the right advice. Compliance is a must, but our pragmatic approach with years of experience is designed to give your business the commercial edge. In short, employment businesses and employment agencies can manage their compliance and their normal every day operating procedures easily with Lawspeed's advice, cutting risk and improving efficiency.
