IR35

IR35 is a tax law exposing contractors, freelancers and interims to significant tax liability in some circumstances. Where the hypothetical contractual relationship between the individual and the hirer is akin to one of employment, HMRC may pursue the contractor for a sum equivalent to PAYE and NI deductions. In the case Dragonfly, the contractor’s IR35 liability was as much as £99,000.

This is a complex area of law and the right legal advice is essential.

IR35 Review - Commercial contract review

We provide IR35 review and commercial contract review services to contractors, freelancers and interims. Our Full IR35 Review service includes both contract review and working practice analysis and prices start from £85+VAT.

Saver IR35 Review | £85+VAT

We can provide you with a detailed and comprehensive IR35 review of your contract for a reduced rate, provided we have reviewed the same contract in the past. Note that if the contract is not already on our system then this option is not available.

IR35 Review of contract only | £160+VAT

We provide you with a detailed legal analysis of your contract from an IR35 perspective.

Full IR35 Review | £249+VAT

We provide a detailed report taking into account all contract documentation, actual working practice arrangements and other information that would be considered by HMRC in a live investigation.

Commercial Contract Review | £210+VAT

We report to you on the commercial elements of the contract indicating potential risks including indemnity provisions, intellectual property rights, restriction clauses, termination and payment terms.

Dual Purpose Review | £359+VAT

We consider the contract both from an IR35 and a commercial perspective. This option combines the Full IR35 Review with the Commercial Contract Review, saving £100.
