ARC (the Association of Recruitment Consultancies) is Lawspeed’s dynamic membership organisation for recruiters.

Dedicated to providing protection and clarity in an increasingly complex sector, ARC membership offers easy access to advice, representation and support services.

With the potential for commercial opportunity as well as shared knowledge ARC is aimed to be a true alternative voice for the recruitment industry in 2009.

The Association's aims and ingredients are simple. (1) Representation, protecting recruiter’s interests; and (2) to provide an industry beating range of member benefits.

Representation

Recruiters will be aware that planned legislation has the potential to significantly damage the industry, and thus far they have been powerless, forced to sit back and watch the developments unfold without any sign of a fight back.

Why we are in this position? The time has come for an organisation to seek answers to recruiter’s questions.

For example, in relation to the legislation due to follow the Agency Worker’s Directive, agency workers will be entitled to equal rates of pay and working conditions after just 12 weeks of an assignment. We are told that the deal is done and that nothing can be done. That is not a view shared by many, yet it seems to prevail.

Some questions:

Have all avenues been pursued to date?

Has enough been done to secure the interests of recruiters?

Have recruiters had a champion fully and transparently on their side to defend their cause?

ARC’s objective is to unite recruiters with an independent and challenging voice.  Since ARC is free of conflicts of interest it can put the interests of recruiters at the forefront of its activities.
